Why not a Teflon or Silicone-based lubricant?

Very often during installation, the lubricant comes in contact with the sealing faces. If it is a Teflon or Silicone based product, it is nearly impossible to remove. When the pump is started, the Teflon or Silicone lubricant draws the carbon from the primary ring and smears it on the seat face. This causes a build up of product which eventually destroys the seal.
