The first picture shows the original style of motor with a saddlebag capacitor box on top.

This pump was discontinued by Balboa in 2020.

The second picture is now the style supplied by them and is the same as we build in-house.

The original Niagara pump, if you have one, has what we call a saddlebag style of capacitor box on top.

This means that the overall height of the pump is less the replacement offered by Balboa.

Ultimately, you should contact us if you think the space around your motor might not be able to accept the second style of motor in your spa due to headroom clearance.
